The Burnt Coat Harbor Light Station is sometimes called the Swan’s Island Lighthouse or the Hockamock Head Lighthouse. The light station at the entrance to Burnt Coat Harbor is a working beacon for local lobster boats. Swan’s Island is six miles out to sea, with a year-round community spread among three small villages. Two working harbors are home to a large fleet of lobster boats. The lighthouse is open to the public, and the keeper’s apartment is available to rent!
