Brooklin General Store

The original Brooklin general store is no longer; it fell into disrepair and was deemed too far gone to restore, so it was demolished and a new store was built – closely resembling the original – on the same footprint and opened in 2017. Like most small town general store it has gas pumps – as well as an EV charging station. Unlike most general stores, the new design took into account the store’s place in the community – all shelves are on wheels, allowing for the space to be opened up for concerts and other community events. It sits at the heart of the town triangle, with the library across the street, Leaf and Anna shop to its left and Morning Moon cafe across the road to its right. The side yard is full of picnic tables in the summer where people can sit and enjoy their pizza and sandwiches or enjoy a game of cribbage.
